Honeymoon - Protecting Your Bridal Jewelry
By Nicole Lindsey
As the “Just Married” getaway car leaves the reception cite, every couple takes a deep breath and celebrates the fact that planning their wedding is over! The bride and groom’s next event to look forward to is the honeymoon. While going on vacation can be a fun and relaxing experience, preparing to leave town can be quite exhausting. Whether a couple plans to leave the country or state, it is important that they take necessary precautions when packing their luggage. Personal items such as bridal jewelry, money, credit cards, and keys should be kept in a safe place while traveling.
Many brides take their bridal jewelry on their honeymoon to wear on an evening out to a fancy restaurant. It would be very disappointing for a bride to discover that her wedding jewelry has been stolen, lost, or damaged at the airport. The safest place to keep personal possessions such as bridal jewelry and money is in your purse or carry-on bag.
A travel jewelry bag is a great item to invest in. Not only will a jewelry bag keep your bridal jewelry safe, but also it is an excellent way to keep all of your jewelry organized. There are separate compartments for bracelets, necklaces, and earrings. This bag definitely solves every girl’s problem of tangled jewelry. The wonderful thing about the travel jewelry bag is that it fits comfortably inside most carry-on bags.
Some couples have reported that some of their valuables have been stolen from their luggage that was originally checked in at the airport. While airport security has been increased to discourage terrorism, employee thefts still remain to be an ongoing problem. In order to keep money, credit cards, keys, bridal jewelry, and other personal possessions safe, it is a good idea to keep these items with you at all times.
After all of the stress of planning the perfect wedding, every couple deserves to have an enjoyable honeymoon. It is important to pack your personal items safely and securely in order to keep them from being lost, stolen, or damaged. Being left with no money or credit cards would be a disaster. Although bridal jewelry can be replaced, it holds sentimental value that can never be replaced. Remember, in order to avoid losing your personal possessions, keep your money, credit cards, bridal jewelry, and keys with you at all times when traveling on an airplane.
