Planning A Bridal Shower - Tips For Planning A Bridal Shower

When planning a bridal shower, it is important that you begin by preparing a list of possible themes for the bridal shower. The theme of the bridal shower should ultimately reflect the personality and the likes of the bride-to-be. If the bride-to-be is very conservative, be sure to incorporate that into the theme of the party. Likewise, if the bride-to-be has a wild side, use that in the theme of the shower. The theme of the bridal shower can range from a beach theme to a Victorian theme.

After you have decided on the theme for the shower, you will need to decide on the type of invitation that coordinates with the theme. Invitations can be as elaborate or as simple as you would like. Likewise, the cost of the invitations can range dramatically. Therefore, it is important to keep your budget in mind when picking out invitations.

Invitations can often be ordered from a stationary company. By ordering the invitations, you can easily personalize them with the bride-to-be's name and information. However, you are not limited to ordering invitations. Many people are going the hand-made route. If you are crafty or know someone who is, hand made invitations not only look great, but they make a great keepsake. Bridal shower invitations can also be purchased at local discount stores and party stores. Next, you will need to come up with decoration ideas. Again, you will want the decorations to coordinate with the overall theme of the bridal shower. For instance, if you choose to go with a beach theme, you easily decorate with beach balls, beach blankets, picnic baskets and coolers. However, if you were going for a Victorian feel, you might want to consider more elegant decorations, such as crystal glasses and rich fabrics.

Food is another important consideration. Since the focus is often on the bride-to-be and presents, finger foods work great. However, you can often do a simple lunch or dinner, with games and presents to follow. In additional to the invitations, decorations and food, you need to consider party favors. Door prizes are very popular. You will also need small favors or prizes that you can hand out to the winners of games. In most instances, you will want to have shower favors that you can give each guest, as a thank you for coming.

One of the final things you will need for you bridal shower, is games. There are many popular bridal shower games such as "toilet paper wedding gown", "how well do you know the bride-to-be", "advice for the bride" and bridal bingo". No matter what game you choose, the bride-to-be and guests are sure to have a great time. A well planned bridal shower is a great way to celebrate a friend or family member's upcoming wedding. Be sure to consider your budget, theme and personality of the bride-to-be when you begin planning a bridal shower. With some simple planning you can have the perfect wedding shower.
